The national standard specifies that the brass content in sanitary products is 59%, with 40% zinc, 1-1.9% lead, and the remainder consisting of elements such as copper, which is called 59 brass. Brass with too low a content may not have ideal malleability and corrosion resistance.

2. 5. It is recommended to use showerheads with air-mixing spray function. The air-mixing spray function works by pumping air into the water through the showerhead, which oscillates under the influence of hydrodynamic and aerodynamic forces, forming a mixture of air and water. This creates a very pleasant feeling when showering. Showerheads come in various types, such as ceiling-mounted (recessed), wall-mounted, etc., with different sizes, making it easy to choose one that fits the space and size of each family's bathroom.

II. FLOOR DRAIN (DRAIN COVER)

• The floor drain is an important interface between the drainage pipe and the floor of the house; it is a crucial component of the drainage system. It directly impacts the flow of the drainage system and serves functions such as odor prevention, insect control, blockage prevention, and backflow protection.

If the floor drain is not chosen correctly and appropriately, it can lead to complications. If it needs to be replaced, it is easy to damage the waterproofing layer, potentially leading to water leakage risks. Therefore, it is advisable to purchase a good-quality floor drain to avoid such issues. 1. Closed Floor Drain, also known as odor-blocking with a U-shaped water trap.

• It relies on the water in the trap to isolate odors and prevent foul smells from rising. The depth of the floor drain pipe is relatively deep (the water level must be greater than 50mm), resulting in a larger water drainage resistance. One issue is that after the water in the floor drain evaporates, if no more water flows into the system, the odor-blocking effect will be compromised due to insufficient water in the trap. Additionally, the closed floor drain does not have a mechanical isolation structure in its design, so it cannot act as a backflow prevention mechanism or stop insects.

• This type of drain is more suitable for use in apartment buildings (condominiums) rather than in ground-level homes.

This type of floor drain is also known as a T-shaped floor drain, lid-type floor drain, or side-type floor drain. The drain opens due to the water's gravity when draining, and it automatically closes after the water has been drained. This type of floor drain can effectively prevent insects and backflow, but it uses a spring mechanism, which can stretch and break over time, resulting in insufficient sealing pressure to block odors.

3. Mechanical Seal Floor Drain (also known as the type with a rabbit seal for odor prevention)

This type of floor drain addresses the shortcomings of the previous two types. The "rabbit" is located inside the drain pipe, and water is contained within the floor drain pipe. Wastewater will flow through the drain pipe, and in cases where there is no water in the pipe, the rabbit seal will effectively block odors. This type of floor drain offers high efficiency and safety.
