This design helps women see through and detect perverts hiding inside.

A transparent toilet with an anti-peeping feature has been installed in Shibuya Park, located in Shibuya Prefecture, Japan.

The idea of building a transparent toilet originated from the desire for people to be able to detect perverts hiding inside.

This transparent public toilet is 2 meters high, 1 meter wide, and 2 meters deep. The toilet bowl is installed inside for use by one person (regardless of gender).

However, the risk is that if the sensor does not detect human movement within 35 seconds, it will revert to its transparent state.

Ms. Chieri Kurokawa, a Tokyo resident, said: "I often use public toilets. You can see inside immediately, and there are no suspicious people hiding in the restroom, so I appreciate that and feel safer letting my child use the toilet by themselves while I wait outside."
