Nothing makes you feel worse than inadvertently scalding a family member, roommate or guest. So here are some safety tips for you to observe with your shower.
To avoid dangerously hot temperatures, make sure your water heater is set at 120° F or below.
Install a pressure balance tub and shower valve.
Set the valve’s adjustable rotational limit stop to prevent the temperature handle from being turned to dangerously hot levels.
Test the tub/shower water with your hand before bathing.

Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner.
Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents.

Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward.
If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409
Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use.

Good looks that last. PVD finishes can freshen the look of your kitchen or bath, but (unlike traditional clear coatings) they’re designed to look new forever. They won’t corrode, tarnish or discolor. TAKUMIZIMA’ PVD finishes were tested against more than 100 common household cleaners. They’ll even withstand prolonged exposure to hard water or sea air.
PVD is a snappy acronym for Physical Vapor Deposition. What’s Physical Vapor Deposition, you (theoretically) ask? Well, it’s a process that embeds molecules of finish deep into the surface of your faucet, If your faucet has a Polished Brass, Brushed Nickel or Stainless finish, you have a PVD finish. Some Peerless faucets have a split finish, which includes two finishes, usually chrome and one of the above PVD finishes.
Tenderly, that’s how. Although your faucet's non-PVD finish is extremely durable, it can be damaged by harsh abrasives. Use only nonabrasive cleaners. Harsh cleaners or abrasives can scratch some faucet finishes.
After every use or cleaning, it is always best to wipe dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spotting and mineral build-up. We recommend that you clean and wax regularly. You may use an aerosol furniture polish or floor paste wax for this purpose.

Multiple usage of water in your house causes fluctuations in water pressure. If, while showering your water temperature changes substantially and pressure drops when water is called for elsewhere in the house, your faucet is not equipped with a pressure balance device. Under certain circumstances, this could present a safety hazard. While no faucet manufacturer can compensate for the water pressure fluctuation. HIMARK offers pressure balance devices for your shower/tub.
Low water pressure is normally the result of debris in the water supplies, the valve, the tub spout or showerhead.
Plumbing codes require our faucets to meet a certain flow rate depending on the model. Removing the water restrictors or aerator would cause our faucets to no longer meet this code. If you are noticing decreased water pressure or a poor quality flow rate, you may have debris in your aerator or showerheads.
Normally, finish deterioration is due to years of wear and tear, abuse or chemical attack. There is no repair once the finish is damaged, however you can replace many common faucet parts where the finish deterioration is most noticeable.
Use a mild soap and water with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleansers for this will void the warranty on the finish.
The handles may be repositioned by removing the mounting, taking off the handle and replacing the handle on the stem in the next groove made in the handle.
The cap nut is not tight. Tighten the cap nut firmly.
