Material of the Shower Faucet

The COS-1459 shower faucet is made from brass (also known as "brass alloy"), a corrosion-resistant material that does not rust or tarnish over time. Additionally, brass is very easy to process, allowing it to be molded and cast into various shapes and sizes for different parts of the shower faucet. The national standard specifies that the brass content in shower faucets is 59%, with 40% zinc (Zn), 1-1.9% lead, and the remainder composed of other elements like zinc, known as 59 brass.

Shower Faucet Manufacturing Process

When choosing a shower faucet product, it is important to select brass with a composition of 59-62%. Brass with a lower content will have insufficient malleability and corrosion resistance. Shower faucets are produced using the molding casting method, where the raw products are smoothed and then coated with two layers of Nickel and Chrome through PVD coating technology. PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a modern plating technology where materials are vaporized in a vacuum to form a plasma coating layer. The coating thickness of the shower faucet can reach nearly 50µm, creating a mirror-like, glossy surface. As a result, the plated surface of these shower faucets is highly durable and aesthetically appealing.

Advanced Technology of the Shower Faucet

The COS-1459 shower faucet utilizes SMA thermal mixing technology, which is the most advanced thermal mixing technology currently available for shower faucets. The core of the shower faucet, also known as the cartridge, serves as the temperature control valve. This core can automatically adjust according to the set temperature and has an excellent burn prevention function. If the temperature of the water exceeds the preset limit, it will automatically cut off the water supply, ensuring safety.

        Elderly people and children at home should use thermostatic shower faucets. The mixing valve will automatically adjust the amount of hot and cold water to maintain a stable water temperature at the desired level.         The water temperature and flow rate for each function of the shower faucet will be adjusted using the knobs on both sides of the mixing valve. The functions are clearly labeled with easy-to-understand instructions for user convenience. Additionally, with advanced thermostatic mixing technology, the COS-1459 shower faucet is equipped with a child lock button. When users want to increase the water temperature above 38°C, they must press the button to continue turning the temperature control knob. Especially, in case of a cold water supply issue (such as blockage or no water supply), the mixing valve will almost instantly shut off to prevent burns or irritation for the user.

           The COS-1459 shower faucet features an air mixing function. This function pumps air into the water through the showerhead nozzles, which oscillate under the influence of spiral water flow and aerodynamics, creating a mixture of air and water. This results in strong, stable water jets that provide a very comfortable feeling when showering.

             The showerhead and hand shower of the COS-1459 shower faucet are equipped with nozzles made of soft silicone, making it easy to clean calcium deposits. With a simple swipe of your finger across the nozzles, the calcium deposits will be automatically pushed out, preventing blockages and misalignment of the water flow after extended use. Additionally, when the water is turned off, the nozzles retract, preventing any residual water from dripping down, thus avoiding inconvenience for the user.

           The COS-1459 shower faucet's thermal mixing valve uses an SMA thermal mixing system with the shortest possible water inlet path. As a result, hot water will almost immediately enter the thermal mixing valve without direct contact with the showerhead. Combined with a thick, durable outer shell, this design minimizes heat dissipation to the surrounding environment, reduces heat loss during use, and prevents burns, ensuring safety for users.

         The COS-1459 shower faucet has two water inlet lines equipped with filters to prevent blockages in the thermal mixing valve. With a standard distance of 15cm between the two water inlet lines, the COS-1459 shower is easy to install, repair, and replace old products.
