Material of the Shower Head

The FC-4008-3 shower head is made from brass (also known as brass alloy), a corrosion-resistant material that does not rust or tarnish over time. Additionally, brass is easy to process, allowing for the creation and casting of various shapes and sizes for different shower components. National standards stipulate that the brass content in shower heads is 59%, zinc content is 40%, lead is 1-1.9%, and the remaining elements, such as zinc, make up the remaining portion, known as 59 brass.

Shower Head Production Process

When selecting a shower head product, it is advisable to choose brass with a content of 59-62%. Brass with a lower content may have reduced ductility and corrosion resistance, which would not be ideal. The shower heads are produced using a casting method, with the raw products smoothed and coated with two layers of Nickel and Chrome using PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) technology. PVD is a plasma coating technology where materials are vaporized in a vacuum, making it one of the most advanced coating technologies today. The thickness of the coating on the shower heads reaches nearly 50µm, creating a glossy, mirror-like surface. Therefore, the coated surface of these shower heads is highly durable and aesthetically pleasing.

Advanced Technology of the Shower Head

The FC-4008-3 shower head uses SMA thermal mixing technology, which is the most advanced thermal mixing technology currently available for shower heads. The core of the shower head, also known as the cartridge, is the temperature control valve. This core can automatically adjust according to the set temperature and has excellent anti-scald functionality. If the switch is accidentally touched and the water temperature exceeds the set limit, the water will automatically shut off.

         Elderly people and children at home should use thermostatic shower heads. The mixing valve will automatically adjust the amount of hot and cold water to maintain a stable water temperature at the desired level. Notably, the cartridge in all Takumizima shower heads uses cartridges from WH, a renowned brand in the bathroom accessories industry.

        The water temperature and flow rate for each function of the FC-4008-3 shower head can be adjusted using the knobs on both sides of the mixing valve. Each function is clearly labeled with easy-to-understand, user-friendly icons. Additionally, with the advanced thermal mixing technology, the FC-4008-3 shower head is equipped with a child safety lock. To increase the water temperature above 38°C, users must press a button to continue turning the temperature control knob. Moreover, if there is an issue with the cold water supply (such as blockage or no water), the mixing valve will immediately shut off the water flow to prevent burns and discomfort for the user.

           The FC-4008-3 shower head features an air mixing spray function. This function pumps air into the water through the shower nozzles, which oscillate under the influence of hydrodynamic and aerodynamic forces, forming a mixture of air and water. This creates strong, yet perfectly balanced water jets, providing a very pleasant and comfortable feeling when showering.

       The showerhead and handheld shower of the FC-4008-3 are equipped with nozzles made of soft, non-toxic silicone that make it easy to clean calcium deposits. A simple swipe of the nozzles will automatically push the calcium buildup out, preventing blockages or water flow misalignment over time. Additionally, when the water is turned off, the nozzles retract, preventing leftover water in the showerhead or handheld shower from dripping and causing inconvenience to the user.

          The FC-4008-3 shower head is equipped with a foam grid for the lower nozzle, which mixes air and water to help save water and prevent splashing.

           The FC-4008-3 shower head uses an SMA thermal mixing valve with the water inlet for the mixer shortened to the minimum possible length. As a result, hot water flows almost immediately into the thermal mixing valve without coming into direct contact with the shower surface. The thick, cast shell helps prevent heat dissipation to the surrounding environment, minimizing heat loss during use and ensuring safety by avoiding burns for the user.

          The FC-4008-3 shower head has two water inlets equipped with filters to prevent clogging of the thermal mixing valve. With a standard spacing of 15cm between the two water supply pipes, the FC-4008-3 shower is easy to install, repair, and replace old products.
